Chain of States Pin/Pendant Sterling Vermeil
Each loop denotes one of the 13 Original U.S. Colonies.
The Chain of States emblem, originally designed in 1776 by Benjamin Franklin for use on Continental currency, celebrated the union of the independent thirteen American colonies, later states.
Throughout the Revolution and early Federal period it was used on money, home décor, and accessories.
This pendant is inspired by Continental money, ceramics, and Washington inaugural buttons in the Museum of the American Revolution’s collection.
